Cute kids, cute dogs, sweet little ladybug -- how long do these beaded creations take you? How do you plan for them? I mean, do you draw out a little pattern and then go from there, or what?
Spring is an incredible time in East Texas, and it almost cancels out the agony of these damned summers... Almost, but not quite. Nice to hear your weather is fine, too. Good for the soul.

The beaded creatures and dolls, in all honesty, keep me sane. If I didn't have them, and work, and had to stay home with my kids all day long, every day, I would not be a nice, or a happy person. It's just a fact of who I am.
I tend to work on them in fits and starts. Sometimes for hours and then not for weeks after that. Yes, I always draw out a pattern on paper first, and then trace that out onto felt. The tricky part for me is making the 2-D idea into a 3-D creature, especially when gussetts and mouths are involved. The lady bug isn't very big, about 4x4 inches, but she'll have wings and legs that she can stand on in the end (hopefully) and that's the challenge. I love to design it fully in my head first, and then try to execute it. That's the fun part. And thanks for visiting my website. It was fun to put together.
